"In China, you'd be eliminated!"

Nice to know those Fascist Republicans hate me now, too

Nothing special, but this deserved a post.

I have been hated by Democrats ever since 1992, after Clinton’s nomination, when I told everyone that it was the end of the party and that I would never register, vote for, or support another Democrat as long as I live.

I was right about that, and I have not voted for a major party since.

Now, my running commentary has never been more critical of the Dems than the Republicans. I hate the same things, and they do the same things. Simple. But until lately, the Democrats have been the most unhinged group. In any case, that’s been changing. The MAGA creeps on Zwitter are now coming out of the woodwork, panicked, frenzied, and realizing on some unconscious lizard-brain level that President Flintstone is now toying with things that are way too complicated for his childlike mind to grasp.

I busted up the troll pretty good, gave the duopoly a harsh dressing down. You know, one of the funniest parts of this whole mess is that people actually say, “If you were in China, you’d be eliminated….”

They seem to be completely oblivious to what’s taking place.

Now what’s really irksome about this is the subtext. These assholes, truth be told, want us to do things exactly like China does, and they are angry that we can speak up. You can feel the disease creeping up in them, the need for authority, even at the price of dignity and freedom. They would never put it that way, but there are a large number of Americans — perhaps even a majority at this point — who are ready and willing to live in a police state.

Still, having spent time in China and having seen all this bullshit propaganda before, I thought I should push back with a few points. My response:

You almost sound angry that I am able to say this, as if you wish it were the same here. I lived in China. It's not much different from the States. I sued the university, CSU in California, for age discrimination. Proved it. Won. Now I am blacklisted from teaching, and it's legal. Just like the laws in China. You may not know this, but Biden, on June 26, 2024, in a Supreme Court case, enshrined TOTAL internet censorship. We have no free speech online - any company, person, or platform can be approached by the feds and told to remove content. We have NO habeas corpus -- anyone can be tossed in jail without charges, indefinitely, just by accusing them of terrorism (Hedges V Obama). Trump is already using this to silence his opponents, and you are right -- soon you, me, anyone who criticizes the right or left, Genocide Joe, or Mango Mussolini -- will be fucked, becuase 95% of Americans sit on ther asses, refuse to educate themselves, get their news from CNN and FOX, and let a gaggle of sociopathic criminals tell us lies & run roughshod over the planet. Not me, but most of us did. By the way, they are still letting plenty of illegal aliens in to work grunt jobs and drive down wages. The murdering of protesters is to sow fear and cravenly place the blame on immigrants. But by all means, continue to believe the 2-party fairy tale. Best of luck in the coming apocalypse! I'll have my sister send you a photo of my body when I am eliminated. I bet it happens here, not in China.
