Life is funny. I just had a friend from a Facebook music group who saw my Sugarcane Harris post and the mention of
, and now he’s a paid subscriber. Joey was never a personal friend, but I’d met him during a party years ago and followed his musical career. Larry probably recognized the name, and who knows, we may have been together at some of the same shows. These happy little “small world” moments of kismet and solidarity keep me doing what I’m doing and give me hope for actual future revolutionary change. Thank you, Larry, Joey, and the others from the group who also took the time to follow and subscribe, for taking the time to read what I write. I get precious little in terms of validation and support. It means more to me than you know, and the same goes out ot all of you who have followed or subscribed or even liked my posts. I will add some perks for subscribers when I hit my goal in terms of numbers, but this is a promise: My content will NEVER be placed behind a paywall, ever. If I can get to the point where I can live off the writing on this blog, that would be great, but it’s not my primary goal. I want to see fewer dead children, fewer hungry bellies, a livable wage, healthcare, the abolition of racist, militarized police forces and for-profit prisons. I want to see the repeal of the June 26, 2024 Supreme Court decision that crippled the 1st Amendment, and finally, I want to stop the brutal terror we inflict on others across the globe, the forever wars of Empire, and of course, one day, see justice for Palestine.Even if I don’t live long enough to see it all.
Thanks for what you do Paul, even if I'm less than fearless
How wonderful, Paul! Keep on going and may the support of those who share your ideals bolster your resolve to shed your unique illuminating perspective on the troubles we all face.
