Don't Get Chumped by Trump: Nothing Has Changed

I know we're all happy that the Genocidal Dems got crushed, but Mango Caesar is also a sociopathic tool of Empire

I’ve decided to tell the unvarnished truth in this post because that’s what I promised to do, whether it loses me subscribers or not. First, I want to make it clear that I have been a big supporter of Jimmy Dore, who was once the point of the spear in the left’s critique of liberal Democrats. He put himself on the line with Force the Vote, and he’s almost always on the right side of the issue. He’s a warrior and a positive force on the (real) left, and I, for one, hope he is never silenced. If it ever happened, I would take to the streets in support of him.

I just want to be clear about that.

But lately, Jimmy has not maintained the level of intellectual honesty for which he’s known. Today I watched a YouTube post in which he was reviewing a report about the ICE crackdowns. He kept making the point that “These people are criminals!” He never stopped to mention it was a FOX News report, which is about as trustworthy as an MSNBC think piece.

The Trump administration itself says nearly half the detainees were not criminals. Jimmy says “most" were criminals, which technically does not contradict the statement made by ICE. It’s just specious. Given the numbers, this means there were surely instances of grave injustice, for instance, mothers being ripped away from their children — children who live here and are citizens. What are people like her doing? Selling pupusas from a cart? Is someone like that a threat to our national economy or to African Americans? Or is she the victim of a dumb tug-of-war between crooked Democrats and Republicans?

I’ll tell you what she’s not responsible for: the bloodshed, the genocide, the beheaded baby lies, and a minimum wage that’s impossible to live on, or the pernicious legislation from both parties that amounts to an assault on the dignity of the working poor across this country.

What good does it do to deport someone like this, living with her kids? Because I assure you, given the numbers, we did. In a recent piece from Newsweek, reports show that in 2024, under Biden, ICE removed 271,484 illegal immigrants. That’s a lot, and we know for sure that Obama deported many more immigrants than Trump did in his first presidency.

But as far as I know, these numbers from the above piece are credible:

Jimmy says African Americans agree with these raids and support Trump because the immigrants are taking jobs and social welfare benefits that should be given to them (paraphrase). Fine, and we can get into the numbers and discuss it further. However, the way to attack the injustices of bureaucratic corruption, systemic racism, and oligarchic power is to create working conditions that ensure every American earns a living wage and has health care; to organize, protest, and create an all-inclusive counter-hegemonic discourse that appeals to working people across all lines of race and identity. It’s done by exposing the hypocrites in the Republican and Democratic duopoly, both of them, who run businesses that exploit illegal labor while ginning up immigrant fear amongst their constituents with a bunch of lies about the other party’s policies.

Then they both meet for brunch together on Sunday at a yummy Beltway eatery.

The people they are targeting, furthermore, are here in many cases because we control the Hemisphere, and we impose draconian sanctions and threaten military force against any nation that doesn’t toe the line. They are victims of imperial violence dished out by the thugs we employ to run their countries, or in other words, our vassal states. Trump’s move is propaganda 101: Create fear among the populace and blame it on immigrants.

Nothing will be achieved by ignoring the grotesquerie that is Trump, especially after he sends out the brownshirts. Sure, Biden’s just as bad, worse even. But that’s not an argument. Everyone I know on the real left — and I don’t mean the DSA crowd or tone-deaf followers of the “Squad” — agrees wholeheartedly that both men and both parties are equally unacceptable. At least those of us who are serious believe that.

I don’t think that gloating and losing oneself in smug schadenfreude is a good path forward, no matter how undeniably delicious the demise of the Democrats may be. But Jimmy’s segment is obviously making light of the issue. It makes no false claims, and I readily admit that: Jimmy is a good faith actor, like I said. But don’t let’s pretend that the piece doesn’t also mock all of the reports with a blase attitude and dismiss them as more Trump hysteria; ignoring them because the Dems did the same if not worse.

And it’s true, they did worse: they committed Genocide.

Yeah, that’s true, Jimmy, but let me ask you in good faith: do you think this crypto-fascist theatre by Mango Caesar, this jackbooted thuggery, is going to help either the immigrants or African Americans in Chicago? Is this a sign that Trump is going to make sure poor Black Americans never fall through the cracks again by holding the billionaire class to account and re-instating sweeping social welfare benefits? Are you 100% sure that it’s media hype and will amount to nothing more than that?

If not, you’re supporting what you claim to hate most: police brutality and fascism.

You might argue that those same African Americans have been duped into believing there will be change under Ubu Trump, but I don’t buy that. Black Americans, politically speaking, are more astute and better educated than white liberals like to admit. They’ve learned to see through the lies because of their horrific experience at the hands of the immoral and craven Europeans who gobbled up this continent. They’re probably gloating, which is understandable and defensible. I gloated, too. They are entitled to that and deserve much more, but it’s futile daydreaming, nothing more. Trump is going to come for them, like he will come for all of us, anyone who dissents. Biden made sure of that when he destroyed the 1st Amendment on June 26 and amended DoD Directive 5240.01, which for the first time in history legalizes the use of military force against American citizens.

I don’t want to live in a country where people have to provide “papers” for Trump’s asshole ICE agents while they’re buying a bag of Cheetos in a convenience store. He’s sending ICE agents into Native American territory for shakedowns, Stasi style, demanding to see their documentation. As far as I’m concerned, neither ICE agents nor any other US authority has a right to demand identity documents from a Native American on tribal grounds.

Are we cool with this because “At least it’s not Biden!” ??? That makes us every bit as dumb and indoctrinated as the “What about Trump?” Russiagate crowd.

I completely agree that Biden brought fascism to America before Trump, and I had already identified Russiagate as utter bullshit in 2017. I agree wholeheartedly that Genocide is a red line, and the Democrats are a cult of sociopaths hanging on to power by censoring everyone and spreading slaughter and misery around the globe. They are all bought, rotten, and immoral to the core, especially the phony progressives like AOC.

But don’t soft-peddle this crypto-fascist behavior. Yes, they duped half the country into believing bullshit, not just about Trump, but about everything. But Trump did plenty of horrible things his first time around, including slashing corporate income tax to 21%. Now he wants to get it down to 15%.

Everything suggests that like Biden, Trump will have his sights set on Iran and China, the neocons’ apocalyptic wet dream, and the worst possible scenario for everyone and everything on this planet. They have been running our government for the last twenty-five years as the blue and red avatars change colors. Never forget that Trump did exactly what the Pentagon told him to do when it came to bombing Syria: a strike based on a false flag, a lie. Also never forget that the New York Times, Empire Rag Supreme, spread the lie about chlorine gas as they pushed Trump to go further. All of those actors are still around, and like the first time, they will make sure Trump kneels and kisses the ring, like every other president before him since 9/11.

This is about Empire.

Trump is not our friend and he will in no way work to repair our economy, bring aid to the millions we have genocided and bombed into rubble, or reverse the censorship laws that Biden used to cripple the 1st Amendment. If he does, I’ll be the first to eat those words.

Jimmy even mentioned that it’s not about blaming the immigrants for their choice and that if he could better his life, he’d do the same thing. So would I, for a variety of noble and defensible reasons, like supporting a family back home with a sick child for whom they can’t afford medical treatment. Then he turns around and says he’s blaming it on the billionaires and crooked politicians who serve them. That’s right, and that’s who we should go after rather than deny we are engaging in immigrant-bashing and punishing the people who did not create this problem.

Jimmy’s not immigrant-bashing per se, but the tenor of the piece does nothing but mock some liberals — shitlibs, agreed — and treat this like it’s no big deal.

Biden and Trump are tag-team partners. Yes, I agree, the Democrats have been much worse as of late, especially with the frightening reality denial they were able to cultivate among their minions during their precious Genocide. But nothing’s over. Don’t forget about Ubu Trump, the bloviating, Orange-Headed Fred Flintstone, our very own Mango Caesar, because the people pulling his strings are the same ones who just annihilated Gaza.
